Dflow uses the Norwegian third-party provider Signicat for the actual signature flow (what the recipient sees). Since many other solutions use Signicat, this is a user experience that many Scandinavians are familiar with.

Currently, we offer the three national eID methods for Norway (BankID), Sweden (BankID), and Denmark (MitID) as well as InkSign (electronic screen signature) for all other countries.

BankID

National eIDs like BankID are a type of advanced electronic signature that:

  • Identification: Identifies and is uniquely linked to the signer

  • Control: The signer alone has control over

  • Data Integrity: Is directly linked to the data that is signed with the signature, so that any changes in the data can be detected.

In Dflow, BankID is the standard choice, but can be changed to InkSign if it is considered that the security level of the signature is sufficient and one wishes to save costs.

InkSign

Electronic screen signature where the recipient signs using a mouse (desktop) or finger (mobile/tablet).

InkSign is half the price of BankID and can be selected from the dropdown list if one wishes to save costs.

Note: If the recipient’s country is defined as something other than Norway, Sweden, or Denmark, the recipient will automatically be presented with InkSign as the signature method.

As the picture above shows, one must choose the correct country for the recipient if they are not resident in Norway, Sweden, or Denmark. InkSign will then be presented as an alternative signing method. The phone number is always optional, and only necessary if the recipient is to receive a notification by SMS.
